Founded by a group of forestry and finance professionals and headquartered in Germany near Munich, Myroxylon GmbH is a consultant that deals with private equity investments in international agriculture-, forestry- and timber-related operations and generating the resulting verified Carbon units.

The growth of the world’s population comes along with an increasing demand for timber products. A demand which is expected to keep growing due to an increasing economic activity and disposable income in emerging markets. We believe, at Myroxylon, there is a gap between the population growth and the availability of quality timber, and only by investing in the production of high-quality valuable species this demand can be met and the pressure on existing native forests with valuable timber species be reduced while supporting local communities.

Well-managed, fertile farmland and farms are renewable resources, which remain productive and profitable as long as they are exploited. Investment Design
Investment in a land asset provides considerable scope for variety in the design of the asset allocation, of the operating cash flows and the risk profile. This allows us to meet the specific requirements of the investor. MYROXYLON develops and implements international projects with a priority in agriculture, forestry and timber industry. Special focus is granted to the CO2 sequestration or emission- reduction potentials. Our objective is to optimize the performance of the land resource over the medium and long term and not to maximize short-term profits. This strategy is independent of the different project types mentioned above. Environmental and ethical requirements are taken into account at all stages of planning and implementation.
Project Management
Once the decision has been taken to invest, all necessary steps, from the concept to implementation of the project, are considered. We generally prefer project sizes that are of a sufficient scale to justify their own management unit in the host country. MYROXYLON provides support for the local unit as the project begins and ensures that the necessary strategic and technical input is available to deal with issues arising during the operational phase of the project. Our strategy avoids obstacles and comprises a future oriented approach by mitigating risks and activating the enormous potential of the forestry and agricultural sector.
